RAFAEL has gained extensive experience in design, development, qualification and production of complete propulsion systems for satellite application.
RAFAEL applies a variety of propulsion concepts for its systems:
- Monopropellant (hydrazine)
- Electric (Hall-effect based)
- Cold Gas Reaction Control System
RAFAEL's propulsion systems are based on indigenous components, which enable flexibility and customization to specific customer requirements.
RAFAEL's Attitude-Control and Orbital-Correction Hydrazine Propulsion Modules (HPM) have flown on-board OFFEQ and EROS satellites. The OFFEQ-3 satellite has been in LEO for over five years. OFFEQ – 5 and EROS A1 satellite are presently is orbit, since their successful launches, in May 2002 and December 2001, respectively.
The SloshSat was launched on February 18, 2005, on board Arian-5 launcher, and successfully preformed its scientific mission. |
