New President and CEO at RAFAEL VADM (Ret.) Yedidia Yaari nominated for President and CEO 01 December 2004 | Source: RAFAEL VADM (Ret.) Yedidia Yaari has been appointed as President and General Manager of RAFAEL Armament Development Authority Ltd. Yaari takes over from Mr. Giora Shalgi who is retiring after more than 40 years of service with the company.
VADM (Ret.) Yaari joins RAFAEL following his retirement from the position of Commander in Chief of the Israel Navy, a position which he had honorably held from the year 2000.
In the course of his long military service to the State of Israel, VADM Yaari also served as the Commander of the Haifa Naval Base, Head of Naval Intelligence Command, Israel Navy Representative at RAFAEL, Commander of the Naval Commando Unit and a Commander of a Missile Boat.
Vice Admiral (Ret.) Yaari holds an MPA from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, a BA in the History of the Middle East from Haifa University and is a graduate of the IN Advanced Naval Command Course and USN Naval War College in Newport, RI, USA.
